Pay every doctor correctly, without a spreadsheet.
2PAY reads billing data from your practice management system, works out what each practitioner is owed under their own agreement, moves the money, and posts the result to Xero or MYOB. A pay run that used to take a day takes minutes.
No card required. 30 day trial. Your billing data stays read only until you approve your first pay run.
Illustrative pay run. Figures are sample data.
How it works
Follow one dollar from the consult to the bank feed
Four stages, all automatic. You approve the pay run. 2PAY does the arithmetic, the transfers and the bookkeeping.
Connect the clinic
Pair 2PAY with Best Practice Premier using a code generated inside your own system. Nothing to install, no server work, no downtime.
About 15 minutes, once
Billing arrives on its own
Each day 2PAY reads the billing ledger for every practitioner and location. Read only, in the background, with no effect on clinic performance.
Daily, unattended
Fees calculated, funds moved
Every agreement is applied as written, including percentage splits, fixed salaries, registrar top ups and withholding. You approve, then funds settle.
Seconds to settle
Books reconcile themselves
Invoices, receipts and bank transactions post to Xero or MYOB with a tracking category per practitioner, so a bulk deposit still reports by doctor.

Engagement models
Your agreements, applied exactly as written
Most practices run several arrangements at once. 2PAY does not ask you to pick one. Choose a model below to see how a cycle is calculated.
Percentage service fee
The practitioner bills patients and Medicare. The practice charges a service fee for rooms, staff and administration. 2PAY raises the fee, applies GST where it is due, and settles the balance to the practitioner.
Worked example, one fortnight
Sample figures. GST treatment follows the setting on the practitioner's agreement.
Value calculator
What is the pay run costing you now?
Move the sliders to match your practice. The estimate covers the administrative time spent preparing, checking and correcting practitioner payments. It does not attempt to price the risk of getting one wrong.
Estimated annual saving
$5,856
and 122 hours of administration returned to the practice each year
Reconciliation
One bulk deposit. Every practitioner accounted for.
Medicare and patient payments arrive as a single amount. Most practices then guess at the split. 2PAY writes the detail into your accounting file, so the bank feed matches the ledger without anyone doing the matching.
Without 2PAY
Someone has to break the deposit apart by hand, then defend the split at year end.
With 2PAY
Each line carries a tracking category, so revenue by practitioner is a report rather than a project.
Payroll tax
Would your arrangements hold up if you were asked to explain them?
State revenue offices have taken a close interest in how medical practices pay their practitioners. The paper trail matters as much as the intent. Four questions will tell you whether yours is worth a second look.
Funds flow from the practitioner's own collections to the practice as a fee, rather than from the practice to the practitioner as a share.
Every cycle produces a document. Invoices and recipient created tax invoices are generated automatically and stored against the practitioner.
Agreement changes are versioned with effective dates, so the terms that applied to any historical cycle can be produced on request.
2PAY is software, not a tax adviser. Use it to give your accountant a clean record to work from.
Payroll tax exposure self check
Four questions. Nothing is stored until you ask for the report.
Are practitioners paid a share of their billings out of the practice's own operating account?
Do fee arrangements get varied verbally or by email between cycles, without a dated record?
Do you engage practitioners across more than one state or territory?
Are there cycles where no invoice or recipient created tax invoice is raised for the service fee?
Integrations
Nothing changes in the software your team already uses
Reception keeps billing the way they always have. Your accountant keeps working in Xero or MYOB. 2PAY sits between them and does the part nobody enjoys.
Best Practice Premier
Pair the clinic with a code generated inside Best Practice. 2PAY then reads the billing ledger each day in the background.
Xero
Invoices, payments and bank transactions are created as the cycle completes, with a tracking category for every practitioner.
MYOB Business
The same accounting workflow for practices on MYOB Business, including service fee invoices and payment receipts.

Four people, one set of numbers
Practice manager
Gets the day back
Approve a pay run instead of building one. Every figure traces to a billing line, so a question from a doctor takes a minute to answer.
Practice owner
Gets a defensible record
Agreements are versioned with effective dates and every cycle produces a document. You can show how any historical payment was calculated.
Practice accountant
Gets a clean ledger
Bank feed matches the accounts because both come from the same source. Revenue reports by practitioner without unpicking a bulk deposit.
Contracted doctor
Gets paid faster
Funds settle in seconds on the agreed cycle, with an itemised remittance that shows exactly how the figure was reached.

Questions
Answers before you ask
If something is missing, ask us and you will get a written answer from someone who works on the platform.
Visit the support centreWhat does 2PAY actually do?
2PAY is financial operations software for Australian medical practices. It reads billing data from your practice management system, calculates what each practitioner is owed or owes under their recorded agreement, moves the funds between the practice and the practitioner, and posts the resulting invoices, receipts and bank transactions to your accounting software.
How long does it take to get started?
Pairing the clinic with Best Practice Premier takes about fifteen minutes and uses a code generated inside your own system. Recording your practitioner agreements is the longer task and depends on how many arrangements you run. Most practices are running their first live pay cycle within two weeks.
Which practice management systems do you support?
Best Practice Premier today. It is the most widely used clinical system in Australian general practice. If you use something else, tell us which system and we will let you know where it sits in the roadmap.
Which accounting platforms do you integrate with?
Xero and MYOB Business. 2PAY generates the invoice, applies the payment and creates the bank transaction, using a clearing account so that a single bulk deposit still reconciles against individual practitioner amounts.
Can 2PAY handle fixed salary doctors and registrars?
Yes. Percentage service fees, fixed salaries, registrar minimum top ups and hybrid arrangements are all supported, and a practice can run all of them at the same time. You record the rules once and each cycle applies them.
How quickly do practitioners get paid?
Settlement happens in seconds once a pay run is approved, including outside banking hours. Pay cycles can be weekly or fortnightly, with daily cycles on the roadmap.
Do we need a separate bank account?
Yes. A dedicated account for practitioner fund distribution keeps operational banking separate, which prevents an unrelated dishonour or hold from interfering with a pay run.
Does 2PAY reduce our payroll tax exposure?
2PAY does not give tax advice and cannot change how a revenue office views your arrangements. What it does is produce the evidence: fees charged rather than shares paid, a document for every cycle, and agreement versions with effective dates. That record is what your adviser needs in order to form a view.
How is our data protected?
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest and hosted in Australia. Every user has an individual login with multi factor authentication, access is limited by role, and financial actions are written to an audit log that cannot be edited.
What does it cost?
Pricing is per practitioner per month across four automation levels, with a 30 day trial and no card required to start. Practices with unusual structures can be quoted directly.
See it run against your own numbers
Twenty minutes on a call. We connect a sample of your billing data, build two of your real agreements, and show you the pay run that comes out. You keep the working file either way.
What you leave the call with
We do not need production access to show you this. A de-identified export is enough.
